7 जुलाई को मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री रमेश पोखरियाल ने CBSE सिलेबस में 30% सिलेबस में कमी के साथ वर्ष 2020-21 के लिए कक्षा 9 से 12 वीं कक्षा के लिए कोविद -19 महामारी और लॉकडाउन के कारण कक्षा शिक्षण समय में कमी की घोषणा की। CBSE ने NCERT के सुझावों की मदद से पाठ्यक्रम को युक्तिसंगत बनाया है और साथ ही एक नए CBSE अधिसूचना द्वारा भी अधिसूचित किया गया है।
सीबीएसई पाठ्यक्रम को कम कर दिया गया है लेकिन देखभाल की गई है ताकि सीखने के परिणाम समान रहें और छात्र विभिन्न विषयों में मुख्य अवधारणाओं को सीखने से न चूकें। हालांकि, सीबीएसई ने अपनी अधिसूचना में कहा कि यद्यपि नए शैक्षणिक वर्ष 2020 – 2021 में 30% पाठ्यक्रम में कटौती की गई है, शिक्षकों को यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि छात्र इन विषयों को समझें ताकि वे अन्य विषयों के संबंध में जानकारी का उपयोग कर सकें।
इसने आगे कहा कि सीबीएसई पाठ्यक्रम के हटाए गए अंशों को आंतरिक मूल्यांकन या साल के अंत में होने वाली बोर्ड परीक्षा में शामिल नहीं किया जाएगा। CBSE पाठ्यक्रम को अप्रैल 2020 में थोड़ा कम कर दिया गया था। लेकिन जैसे-जैसे लॉकडाउन बढ़ा और COVID -19 महामारी बदतर होती गई, सीबीएसई के सिलेबस में कमी को अंतिम रूप दिया गया। नीचे दिए गए विभिन्न विषयों के सीबीएसई कक्षा 12 के पाठ्यक्रम में हटाए गए भागों के विवरण देखें।
