THREE CHALLENGES AFTER INDEPENDENCE
Three Challenges After Independence
Our Nation India suffered a lot of under the colonial rule. But after a successful national movement they (Britishers) decided to left India as an independent state in 1947. At the same time many other colonized countries also achieved independence, they have similar kind of challenges like our nation. But while India got independence, it also faced partition. So we can say our nation had many challenges. Out of these, we will discuss three major challenges after independence. These were:
- Challenges of Nation building: In this first chapter we are going to study in detail. This was the first and biggest challenge after independence because like India no other country faced such kind of division based on community.
- Challenges of establishing democracy: (In the Second chapter we will study this in detail) Before independence, Indian National Congress and almost all the nationalist leaders were in the favor of establishing democracy after independence so after independence it was a challenge to establish a strong constitution, independent election commission, free and fare election, and certain rights for the welfare of ordinary people.
- Challenges of economic development with equality and justice. (In Third chapter we will study this in detail) In this 3rd chapter we will study how India tried for the economic development after the independence. About planning commission role, what India did for establishing economic equity in between people.
Friends, This book ‘Politics In India Since Independence’ is dealing in such a way that each chapter deals with specific challenge, and in this specific challenge a lot of other challenges are mentioned.
